Reworking my '69 Fender Bassman head

PostAuthor: Tom_Scioscia » Mon Apr 03, 2006 2:13 pm

Well, the other day, I got a new board from www.TurretBoards.com for my '69 Bassman. It's got the AA864 circuit layout, which is actually a short lived circuit from 1964, but the only true Blackface type circuit used in the Bassman (the AB165 was a Blackface amp, but the circuit has a bunch of Silverface type modifications).

However, here's the trick. The power amp and Normal channel shall remain stock as per the AA864 circuit. The bass channel will be modified to be more Marshall like. It'll be based upon the preamp from the HighOctane and Renegade amps on www.ax84.com . :)

I'll try to remember to take a picture of the board later today or tomorrow. If I don't, bug me about it. :-P

Sadly, just haven't had the time to dig into it. I'm going to try to get into it this week. Seems that whenever I have a project I want to get into, things go crazy. LOL
